When thinking of window designs: size, tint, and other aesthetic qualities come to mind. However, low-E coatings play an equally important role and significantly affect the overall performance of a window and the total heating, lighting, and cooling costs of a building.
Insulated Glass or HR++ Glass?
Insulating Glass consists of two or three panes of Glass with one or two spaces (cavities) in between. The cavity between the panes is filled with air or inert gas, usually argon gas.
Double glazing or ınsulated glass unit consists of two lites of Glass with an air cavity.
HR++ glass is double Glass with a coating and argon gas filling.
